Collection Information: 

Collect blood in a serum separator tube.  

Sample Volume Requirements: 

Allow blood to clot at room temperature. Centrifuge and aliquot 0.5 mL of serum to a plastic transport vial. 

Minimum Sample Volume: 

0.25 mL of serum (approximately 0.5 mL of whole blood based upon a normal patient hematocrit)

Unacceptable Conditions: 

Gross Hemolysis
