• Standard blood collection procedure.

Specimen Type:

• Gold Top Serum Separator (SST)-Preferred
• Light Green (Lithium Heparin Plasma Separator)-Preferred
• Green No Gel (Lithium Heparin)-Acceptable
• Red (No Additive)-Acceptble

Minimum Volume:

• 0.3 mL of serum or plasma (approximately 0.6 mL of whole blood based upon a normal patient hematocrit)
