Depending on the Urinalysis order and origin of order, the UA dipstick (macroscopic) may not be performed in the laboratory for all urine testing, but rather in a clinic setting. In this case, the provider is responsible for reviewing and correlating urinalysis results with individual patient history and diagnosis as the laboratory does not have access to urine macroscopic results.
