Sample Volume Requirements: 

3.0 mL blood/1.0 mL serum or plasma. Additional volume is needed in certain circumstances where high concentrations of the analyte will require dilutions. (ie CF patients).

Minimum Sample Volume: 

0.5 mL blood/0.15 mL serum or plasma

Remarks: 

Trough levels should be drawn just before the next dose is given.
