  • Aseptic techniques must be used in obtaining and transporting specimen.

Minimum Volume:

  • eSwab: entire liquid medium with swab
  • 1mL

Reject Due To:

  • Dry swab, in a non-sterile container, or does not meet collection, storage, or transport requirements.

 

 

Specimen Stability

Ambient: 48 hours

Refrigerated: 48 hours (Preferred)

Frozen: Unacceptable
